REALTOR® Membership Application

Instructions

If you are ready to apply for membership with the Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® (UPSTAR), please do the following:

  1. Have your license number and the issue date ready.
  2. Check "MLS" and "Provisional Member" below...
    if you want to be a Primary REALTOR® with UPSTAR who has MLS access. (NOTE: Your membership is provisional until the Board of Directors approves your application and you complete New Member Orientation, which includes the Code of Ethics. After which, all rights and privileges of membership become available.)

Upon joining this local organization, you also become a member of the State Association (Indiana Assn of REALTORS® (IAR), and the National Assn of REALTORS® (NAR). Membership dues for the Local, State, and National Associations are collected by the Local Association and dispersed accordingly.  All boards have a no-refund policy. The ASSN DUES and MLS FEES are pro-rated by month (not by day). After your initial payment, the ASSN DUES are due on December 15th annually, and the MLS FEES are collected quarterly--due on January 31st, April 30th, July 31st, and October 31st each year.

Select Your Option(s)

Select this option if you would like to be a primary REALTOR® member of the Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® (UPSTAR). When joining as a primary member, you are also joining the Indiana Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. This membership type is designated "Provisional" until the member completes the mandatory New Member Orientation course, which must be taken within 90 days of joining.  If you are transferring from another local association and would like to become primary with UPSTAR, make sure to select "Invoice Me". We will remove fees that are not required again with a Letter of Good Standing from your other Board/Assn.

Use this form if you need access to the Indiana Regional (IRMLS), a regional MLS through which UPSTAR MLS is a member and our Managing Brokers are Participants.  The National Association of REALTORS® requires that members have MLS services with the association in which their Managing Broker is a Participant unless a waiver is provided showing you have services elsewhere.

Use this form if you would like to join UPSTAR as a secondary member and keep your primary membership with another Indiana Board/Assn. You will have all rights as a primary member but will only pay local dues. You will continue to pay Local, State, and National dues to your primary Board/Assn.
